“ In any moment of decision, the best thing you could do is the right thing.”
When it comes to choosing the right many will say they will or that they already do. I belief that that is not always the answer to everyone’s questions. That is surely the answer to most of my decisions but not all. Sometimes I do really reckless things without thinking and that shouldn’t be my primary response. When I have to think of something I’m very lenient and accept the consequences but do regret it. For example, one time I had to make the decision to simply tell my sister that it’s wrong to leave her plate in our room, because that was the right thing to do. Instead if doing so, I decided to throw the plate to her bed and it just so happened that it hit her in the knee. I felt so bad because I didn’t want to throw it at her just her bed. That is a perfect example of what this statement is telling us not to do. I should have told her to take her plate to the kitchen rather than throwing it at her. Although it was the wrong thing to do, I accepted the consequences, which were having to tell her sorry, but that made my conscience suffer a little bit. Now whenever I see her on her bed or eating in our room my conscience reminds me of my wrong actions. I sure wish I would have thought of this statement back then but now I know. With the knowledge of this statement I will now think twice of what is right to do and do it.
