Duties and Responsibilities

Dentist do anything that has to deal with the oral cavity. They fill, repair, take out, and clean teeth. A dentist will also whiten teeth if desired by the patient. Dentists run x-rays to detect any abnormalities with the jaw, gums, teeth and any other area that might affect the oral cavity. When done with a patient the dentist will educate the patient on proper oral hygiene. Some patients require dentures or retainers and dentist could provide the patient with personalized ones. A dentist could and will prescribe treatments like pain killers. Dentist could choose to be a general dentist, or an orthodontist that also treats teeth in a different way.

Salary: Dentist will make  $158,310 a year.  

Education: To become a dentist you will need to have a bachelors in a science field, like biology, to enter dental school. To become a dentist you will need either a Doctor of dental medicine, doctor of dental surgery, or a doctor of medical dentistry. You will also need a licence in the states you decide to work in. You will spend 2-4 years in a residency, and 2-5 years in advanced training.  

Demand for this profession: This profession will increase by 18% in 2024.

Reflection: I would not like to be a dentist because I don’t like to look at other’s teeth. I also feel that it is a lot of time I will spend in school and I already feel overwhelmed in high school.

Chiropractor

Duties and responsibilities

A chiropractor is a professional who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the neurovascular system. Most of the time a chiropractor will treat you manually. In other words a chiropractor will massage you and crack your bones especially your spine. They will manage your reflexes,spine and posture. The body will then heal itself. The practice a chiropractor performs is an alternative for other treatments for muscle pain, joint, bone and cartilage pain.  A chiropractor will work individually but very few professionals work in groups. Not a lot of chiropractors work in hospitals or clinics so they own their own offices. They then, manage their own schedule to fit their needs.

Salary: $64,440 a year

Education: To become a chiropractor you must earn a doctor of chiropractic degree. This degree will take about four years to earn. They will then need a state licence. A chiropractor will need at least three years of undergraduate college.

Demand for this profession: This job will increase in demand by 17% in 2024.

Reflection: I would love to be a chiropractor because the body interests me. I love working with muscles and knowing why i crack my back. I also like to know why a certain bone hurts or why it hurts.

Abraham was known as honest Abe and this is another reason why. This quote is based simply on how your conscience works. If you do something that is right you're rewarded with a conscience of laudatory. When you do something that is bad and you know it is it will be in your mind all day. Sometimes we do things without knowing they're bad but when we find out that what we did was bad our conscience will make it so that we contemplate on our actions. Our conscience will remind us of our actions and if they were good then we will feel good. The reason is because we will be reminded of our decisions and realize how good of a person we were. Now if you are bad or did bad, you will be reminded of your foul actions. You will remember how much of a bad person you were. The point is that when you do good you don't only physically do something good but you also benefit your mood for the time being. For example if you hold the door open for someone you feel good because you know you did good. If you shut the door on the person's face you feel bad because you could have hurt them. You are also not being a CTR person and you might even suffer consequences that aren't all that fun.

     This quote is so true. Freedom is only going to be given as a reward. The reward will come from behaving. Yes, as a human born in  the U.S. you are granted natural rights but you are also put limitations on those rights through your parents. Freedom is having the liberty to do as you please. If you don't already listen what makes you think you are going to listen when you have more freedom. That is why the quote states that the more you obey the more freedom you get. Obedience isn't difficult for me, so I get many privileges that i know a lot of kids my age don't have. This all ties back to being obedient. If you do what you are told you will be given trust and that trust become freedom and liability. With this you could do close to anything. This is unbelievable true in the life of a teenager. If you don't do your chores like your parents tell you to what makes you think you diverse to go out. If you did your chores then you will most likely be able to go out and come home at a reasonable time, but if you didn't do your chores you might not even go. Everyone likes freedom and the price takes so little to pay so just do it.  

     September 11, 2001 is marked as one of United Sates' most tragic and devastating events. This event known as 9/11 was the first ever multiple hijacking in the US. When thinking of 9/11 we think of the twin towers and how two hijacked planes knocked them down, what many leave out is that there were three American iconic buildings that were targeted. One of course being the twin towers, the second is the pentagon and last but certainly not least is the plane that crashed in the fields of Pennsylvanian.
     The twin towers, located in New York, were brought down by two hijacked planes. The north tower was hit fist. Since the airline flew right through the middle, it's flaming hole left the people in the higher floors trapped. Sadly these people saw no other option but to jump down from stories higher than 80.  No more than 18 minutes later the south tower was shot. The pentagon was shot through the southwest side by flight 77. Lastly the plane that crashed in the Pennsylvanian field was being hijacked by 4 people. Luckily passengers were able to take on the hijackers but it was still taken down.

     I have no memories of this event for i was only about three months old. Honestly, this has been talked so much through out my life that I feel for these people. I've seen plenty of videos and documentary of this event. The fact that people actually gave up their lives for such atrocious act is sickening. So many frantic faces and all affected for life. I see no reason for having to cause so much disruption.
