“ If your so-called friends urge you to do anything, you know to be wrong, You be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the moral courage to be the light for others to follow.”
By: Thomas S. Monson
This quote is so true because not everything that your friends are doing is right. I mean you do know them and trust them but that doesn’t make them right. Some people will be peer- pressured into doing some of the things they know are bad but that wakes it worse. If you know it’s wrong to do something but you do it anyways that is ignorance from your part. If you choose the right, and stay away from what you know is wrong you will be better off. You will have chosen to do the right thing and know you will be out of trouble. My mom always told me that friends that let you, tell you, or even make you do something wrong are not friends at all. She said that if they were really my friends they wouldn’t let me do something dumb. I live by this quote for that reason. I have never had an issue not fitting in. On the contrary, I’m always doing things that thats what i feel is the right thing to do. Sure, they may not always be but at least I have a plausible reason as to why I did them. An example of this quote would be drugs. I if you are out with your friends and they offer you drugs they are not your friends. Just because all your other friends agreed to take some you should say no. Your real friends will not offer you something that will not benefit you. At the end of the day you are what you want; and if you want to listen to someone who just wants to make your life more difficult is not a friend of yours.
