Medical Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities: Medical Assistants will typically do administrative work. They will also perform simple clinical tasks in health care facilities, physician offices, or hospitals. They will measure vital signs, like blood pressure and keep records of the patient’s medical file and personal information. They will assist physicians in the examination of a patient. They are also allowed to give injections and medications to patients as long as the physician has allowed them to. It is also permitted by state law that they are owed to do so.  Medical Assistants must keep the patient’s medical information confidential unless there are other professionals treating the same patient.
Salary:  A general medical assistant will earn $30, 590 a year.
Education: Many medical assistants will have a postsecondary certification. Others enter with a high school diploma and receive on-the-job training. Medical assisting programs will take nothing over a year and are found at community colleges, technical schools, vocational schools, and universities. Some choose to go as far as an associate’s degree.
Demand or need for this profession: There is going to be a 23% increase in the years of 2014-2024.













Reflection:  Personally, I do want to look into a medical pathway but i feel like being a medical assistant is too simple. For me, that would be a place to start and maybe for there work my way up.
