“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and is good, and unpopular which is unsound.”
By: Joseph Smith
This quote is just telling us that we should always do good. We are going to do good by making everyone else be good, or at least want to do good. We will do this by making it popular. We have to make sure that people know what benefits come with being good. We have to make sure that this is a better place and to do so we need to make sure that the people are good. They need to stop doing bad things that may seem popular like swearing, smoking, drinking doing drugs, and anything along the lines of that. Although all your friends are doing it because it's popular we need to work extremely hard and make sure that you don’t fall for it. That’s why Smith goes on to say that we need to work to make these things that are unsound unpopular. The only way we are going to do this is by not doing them. We have make sure that the people know that it isn’t good to be doing those things. I also believe that we need to make education popular. In my opinion everybody thinks that school is boring and I don’t agree with that. I feel like we need to make something like physical fitness and school be popular. Another example is eating right. We need to make healthy food more appealing to people. I firmly believe in this quote because I know that it’s true and I often think like this. Whenever I get the chance to suggest a good idea I will remember this statement and say something that is good.
