A goalpost is a place where football players know to aim at. Arnold Glasgow like to think of the goalpost as a target to where everybody should be aiming to. If you have any goals, the way to accomplish them is through the goalpost. If you do not make it through the goalpost then there is no other place to make it through. If you don’t make it through anywhere then you don’t accomplish your goal. The whole reason of having a goal it to complete it and get what you need to do, done. If you do not know where your goalpost are then, again, you won’t complete your goal. You will not go far enough to reach your goal because you know not where it is. I think the people you hang around has a lot to do with knowing where your goalposts are. For example, if your goal is to graduate high school then that is your goal post and the only way way to get to it will be by doing your homework and maintaining good grades. You have everything except supporting friends. You have friends that prefer to go out than to study and every time you follow them you move farther from you goalpost. You are moving farther from graduating high school. If you have the right friends and the grades then all it take is perseverance. I agree with this but have my own perspective of reaching a goal.
