Duties and Responsibilities: A nursing home administrator is a nurse who chooses to provide health and medical service management away from a clinic or medical environment. They will usually usually do this at a nursing home and related facilities. A nursing home administrator will supervise the the staff and personnel. They will also take care of financial matters, medical care, medical supplies, facilities and any other tasks they are assigned to.
Salary: Their salary is about $94,500 annually.
Education: You will need a four-year bachelor’s degree and will also need to pass a state licensing examination. If you desire a higher position you will need a two-year master’s degree. Some courses include aging and long term care, health behavior, and gerontology.
Demand for this profession: There is an expected 17% increase in between the years 2014-2024.
